In 1967, John Lennon decided that the Beatles should live together on an island. Aided by “Magic Alex”, a Greek electronics engineer who worked at the band’s media company, they chartered a yacht and set off on an Aegean island scout, reports Melissa. The island was then known as Trinity Island and its then owners could not be tempted to sell.

Today it is for sale by Greece Sotheby's International Realty and is now known as Ethereal Island
