Spear's featured Greece Sotheby's International Realty in a piece examining why UHNWs, including hedge fund billionaire Chris Rokos, are increasingly choosing Greece, and the Athens Riviera in particular, as a relocation destination.
The article cited data from The State of Greek Luxury Property at Mid-Year 2026, Greece Sotheby's International Realty's flagship research, which puts the median asking price on the Athens Riviera at approximately €10,200 per square metre. It noted that Sotheby's lists 73 properties on the Riviera, nine of which are valued above €5 million, including a 1,000 sqm, eight-bedroom villa priced at €27 million.
The piece linked the area's growing appeal to its proximity to central Athens, more than 40 kilometres of direct metropolitan beachfront, and improving access to airports, schools, healthcare and marinas.
"The phrase I would use is 'privacy without isolation,'" said Savvas Savvaidis, President & CEO of Greece Sotheby's International Realty, describing what UHNW buyers are now looking for alongside the sea, climate and space that first drew them to Greece.
