At Greece Sotheby’s International Realty, beauty is present in every aspect of what we do. It lives not only in the exceptional properties we represent, but also in the way we work, think, and welcome others. Our headquarters in the heart of Athens is a reflection of this philosophy—a space where culture, aesthetics, and professional excellence converge.

Housed within our office is a remarkable, company-owned collection of original artworks by some of the most important Greek painters and sculptors of the 20th and 21st centuries. Carefully curated over many years, this collection forms a visual narrative of modern Greek art, showcasing its richness, diversity, and emotional depth.

Panayiotis Tetsis (1925–2016) and Yannis Gaitis (1923–1984) — two distinctive voices of postwar Greek art. Tetsis captures luminous island life, while Gaitis reflects on identity and repetition with his emblematic figures

Among the highlights are works by Yannis Tsarouchis, including his iconic Le Marin and an exquisite male figure study. Panayiotis Tetsis’s still life from the Hydratables series captures the essence of island life through color and sunlight, while Nikos Engonopoulos’s surrealist imagery brings myth, poetry, and symbolism into dialogue with contemporary identity.

Vassilis Paniaras (1935–2017)
A deep Aegean blue stirred by the fleeting wake of a boat—motion and memory rendered in abstraction.

The dynamic visual rhythm of Alexis Akrithakis, the sculptural repetition of Yannis Gaitis, and the textured abstraction of Kostas Paniaras create an atmosphere charged with artistic energy. Theodore Stamos, a leading figure of the first generation of Abstract Expressionists, introduces a sense of meditative depth and lyrical abstraction that enriches the emotional landscape of the collection. Internationally acclaimed artists such as Stephen Antonakos and Chryssa expand the dialogue with their pioneering conceptual and light-based works, bringing global resonance to the space.

Contemporary Greek voices such as Cacao Rocks, with his graphic, urban sensibility, and Eirini Kana, whose Andros-inspired golden abstractions radiate light and emotional warmth, ensure the collection remains vibrant and relevant.
