Greece Sotheby’s International Realty is Gold Sponsor of the Hellenic Sailing League, powered by Grivalia, racing at the Yacht Club of Greece on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October 2026. The sponsorship marks the first year of a five-year commitment to the League, and one of the fleet’s RS21 yachts will race in the full colours of Sotheby’s International Realty, the brand’s name carried across the Saronic Gulf by the crews competing for the League title. Clients and friends of the company are invited to follow the racing from the vessels that accompany the fleet.

A Five-Year Commitment to Excellence

The commitment springs from a conviction that runs through everything the company does: αἰὲν ἀριστεύειν, Homer’s “ever to excel”. The sailors of the League live by that word on every leg of every race. Greece Sotheby’s International Realty lives by it in the standard it sets for the properties it represents and the clients it serves. Sailing at this level is the purest expression of the same pursuit, and the sponsorship is an expression of gratitude to the sport, to its athletes and to the clubs that preserve Greece’s maritime heritage.

“Greece is a civilisation shaped by the sea. For three thousand years its boats have carried its trade, its ideas and its character across the Mediterranean, and sailing remains the purest expression of that bond. Supporting the Hellenic Sailing League for the next five years is our way of putting our own small stone in the wall, beside the clubs and the athletes who keep that heritage alive and racing.”

The Athens Riviera as Sailing Terrain

The regatta also makes a statement about the Athens Riviera itself. Elite racing on the Saronic Gulf, along the Riviera coastline, shows the sea here as sailing terrain of the first rank, open to Olympic athletes and equally to the residents and friends who choose to live beside it. A home on the Athens Riviera comes with the sea as its daily horizon; the League shows what that horizon offers.

The Yacht Club of Greece

The stage for it all is the Yacht Club of Greece (NOE). Founded in 1933, it has nurtured generations of Olympic sailors and stands as the cornerstone of Greek yachting. Its harbour, set beneath the hill of Kastella and opening onto the Saronic Gulf, welcomes the country’s leading clubs and cultivates the champions of tomorrow.

The Weekend

Two days devoted to the sea and its pleasures. On Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October 2026, the RS21 fleet takes to the water at 10:30. Saturday evening concludes with a private, invitation-only reception in the club’s Anemon Hall. On Sunday, the prize-giving honours the champions, followed by an exclusive celebration in the club’s garden.

An Invitation to Our Clients and Friends

Greece Sotheby’s International Realty invites its clients and friends to watch the racing up close from the vessels that accompany the fleet, a vantage point at the heart of the racecourse. Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. To reserve yours, write to [email protected] by Thursday 15 October.
