Director of OperationsOn October 1st, 2016 Greece Sotheby’s International Realty opened its doors at 11 Voukourestiou Street, bringing the Sotheby’s International Realty network to Greece for the first time. Ten years on, the firm has completed more than €650 million in luxury transactions, holds more than twenty all-time residential sales records across the country, operates from Athens, Corfu, Mykonos and Thessaloniki, and has been recognised at the International Property Awards in seven award cycles, from its first full year of operation to the present.
This anniversary is a natural moment to set out that record in one place, and to name the people who built it.
About the awards
The International Property Awards, organised by International Property & Travel magazine, are the largest and longest-running programme of their kind. Entries are assessed by an independent panel of more than 80 industry professionals, chaired by members of the House of Lords, against criteria covering sales performance, marketing, client service and online presence. National winners are announced at the European Property Awards ceremony in London each autumn; the highest-scoring regional winners go forward to the International stage, where the world’s best are decided.

Individual recognition: Savvas Savvaidis, President and CEO, has received multiple International Property Awards in his own name, including Best Real Estate Agent in Greece.
What the awards recognise
The awards are made to the firm as a whole and reflect the work of every office and every team. Four themes recur across the decade.
Sales performance. More than €650 million in completed luxury transactions since 2016, and more than twenty all-time residential records, including the highest sales ever recorded in Mykonos, Corfu, Rhodes, Lefkada, Paxos and Crete.
Marketing. Five-Star and Award Winner distinctions for Real Estate Agency Marketing in 2022–23, 2025–26 and 2026–27 recognise the firm’s print, digital and film programmes and its reach through the Sotheby’s International Realty network in more than 80 countries.
Website. sothebysrealty.gr has been named Best Real Estate Agency Website in Greece in all seven cycles, Best in Europe in 2017–18, and received the International Property Award for Best Real Estate Website in 2025–26.
Offices and service. Single Office awards in 2025–26 and 2026–27, and the Five-Star Lettings and Rentals award in 2026–27, recognise the firm’s branch and rental operations.
The people behind the record
Awards are given to a company; they are earned by people. The sales record that underpins every submission has been built by a small number of individuals, each responsible for a market.
Corfu and the Ionian. Spyros Analytis, Head of Ionian Sales, founded Corfu Property Agency in 1988 and has brokered property on the island for more than 35 years. Since joining the firm in 2017 he has completed €200.8 million in sales across Corfu, Paxos, Lefkada and Kefalonia, six of them above €10 million. Corfu alone accounts for €138.3 million, including the two highest residential sales ever recorded on the island, the largest body of completed prime and super-prime transactions held by any brokerage there. The firm holds the record residential sale in each of the four Ionian islands.
The Athens Riviera. Konstantinos Angloupas, Head of Athens Riviera Sales, has built an unmatched record along the Southern Suburbs coast, from Glyfada and Vouliagmeni to the Ellinikon seafront, in luxury residences, off-plan developments and high-value transactions. His completed sales now exceed €100 million, and he accepted the firm’s three national awards at the European Property Awards in London in October 2025.
The Aegean. George Kasimis, Head of Aegean Sales since 2016, has shaped the luxury second-home market across the Cyclades, with record-breaking sales in Naxos, Ios and Syros and a defining role in establishing Tinos as a high-end destination. Active in Mykonos, Paros and Antiparos since 2018, he has amassed more than €100 million in completed sales.
The Private Office. Despina Laou, Head of Private Office since 2020, is the top producer in Greece’s super-prime market and has set more sales records than any other agent in the country: the highest-ever sales in Mykonos (€23.5 million), Corfu (€15.5 million), Lefkada (€11 million) and Crete (over €10 million), as well as records in Skiathos, Rhodes and Paxos.
Athens, rentals and the team behind them. Odysseas Mouselimis, Head of Athens Sales, leads the firm’s work in the capital’s prime neighbourhoods. Violetta Sacharidou, Head of Rentals, built the lettings operation recognised with a Five-Star award in 2026–27. Eleni Savvaidi, Marketing Director, is responsible for the programmes recognised in three Marketing awards and every Website award since 2017. Maria Goumas, Corporate Director, and Lee Tokouzis, Director of Operations, run the firm day to day; Christos Zampounis, Media Consultant, has carried its voice into the press for a decade; and Nicole Liberi, Office Manager, with sales associates Margarita Analyti, Konstantinos Volikas and Giorgos Michelakis, complete the team.

“I have sold property in Corfu since 1988, and the island has never had a stronger body of completed sales behind it than it does today. Corfu’s record, its portfolio and the way we present it are part of the firm’s case every year these awards are judged. For me, the recognition confirms what the sellers who entrust us with the island’s most important houses already know.”
The next ten years
The firm enters its second decade with one of the most consistent international awards records of any brokerage in the country, its largest body of completed prime and super-prime sales, and its deepest regional bench. The programme for 2027 includes the International stage of the European Property Awards in January, where the firm is nominated in two European categories, and the publication of further completed-sales research in the Aegean and the Athens Riviera, following the Ionian report published this year.
