Looking across the sparkling waters of the Ionian sea to the wooded hills of Lefkada, Calypso occupies a privileged private position on the peaceful west coast of Meganisi island.

Smart, welcoming interiors flow out onto shady terraces, home to a large pool, whilst just a short walk away is the gorgeous beach of Agios Ioannis and a seafront taverna.

The accommodation is spread over two floors and is characterised by clean modern lines, a colour scheme of pure white and natural wood, quality fixtures and fittings and an easy, practical flow between indoor and outdoor areas.

The main entrance takes one into a large, light-filled space, combining a living area with a U-shaped sofa and a convivial kitchen-diner with a table for eight. Large sliding doors allow for extensive sea views and provide seamless access to the surrounding terraces and pool area.

To one side of the living area is the first bedroom, a splendid sea-view double with an open en-suite bathroom plus a large walk-in shower and a separate WC, as well as access to the terraces and pool area. Stairs lead up from near the front door to the first floor, which is home to the three remaining bedrooms: a double room with open en-suite shower room and separate WC; a central twin room suitable for children; and a second double, accessed via the twin room. The second double has its own en-suite shower room, but this would be shared with any children staying in the connecting twin. All three bedrooms boast magnificent sea views and access to a shaded, panoramic terrace. Furthermore, there is a service house next to the villa offers an additional master bedroom, which totals to 5 bedrooms.

Calypso offers a wonderful selection of well designed outdoor areas in which to relax, look out to sea panorama, dine and have fun.

Immediately in front of the house, and accessed via the kitchen-diner, the living area and the ground floor bedroom, is a covered terrace with a sofa and some easy chairs. Just beyond this is the wonderful pool looking out to sea.

To either side of the house are shady sea-view pergolas, one dedicated to alfresco dining, the other home to a well-furnished outdoor sitting area. Perhaps the best views are to be had from the large shaded terrace that runs along the entire façade of the first floor, and which is accessed from the three first floor bedrooms.
