Epavlis was built in 1864. This magnificent property was once the dwelling of an eminent family and it has been classified as a historical listed building that is representative of the neoclassical style, which flourished in the 19th century in Ermoupolis.

The property was restored from ground-up in 2016. It was the current owners’ passion for that romantic era and neoclassicism that guided the restoration. The result was truly amazing, a fully-functional modern five-star guest house in a superbly restored 19th century mansion. All its 400 sq.m are spread over three levels, ground floor, first floor and rooftop terrace of 135m2 each. From the rooftop terrace one can enjoy the stunning view to the Aegean blue waters, Little Venice and Ermoupolis.

Epavlis is situated in the noble quarter, “Vaporia” (which is another word for “ships” in Greek).
Just a stone’s throw from Ermoupolis’s most popular sights, including Small Venice, where neoclassical buildings are constructed on the rock embracing the waves, the imposing temple of Saint Nicholas, the architectural miracle of the Apollo Theatre, the unparalleled central square with the Town Hall – palace designed by the famous 19th century architect Ernst Ziller.

The cosmopolitan fully-organised all-day beach of Asteria is just a hundred-meters walk from the mansion’s gate and provides services of a high class beach bar-restaurant and a magnificent view to ‘small Venice’.
